Hi am using a Ford Figo since 3yrs, the car was excellent until my 1st paid service. Pls note the problems faced:

1.I had my windscreen replaced due to a stone hit at Ford' s service station after which my dashboard is making some kind of rattling sound. At Ford they did some Tapping work but in vain, the sound still persists.

2. Rear doors making sounds while driving on bad bumpy roads. At Ford they did soor striker adjustmwnt but sound still persists though not as much as before.

3. While getting down from rear end there is some kind of squeaking sound from the rear & this happens when the brakes are pressed while getting down from the rear. The vehicles RTB has been replaced due to manufacturing defect.

Being experts please provide me a solution to these problems. Waiting for your speedy reply

Regards
Ashish

All of the things you mentioned seem like adjustment issues except the squeaking sound. Can you tell aprox where the noise is coming from?

The only other thing I can think of is to check for misaligned components or something loose.

Sorry for the delay in reply & thanks for the answers, I'll surely get the above mentioned things checked.

Also i wanted to know that my vehicles has been driven 12,500 kms in a span of 3yrs. But when i go for servicing they give me heavy bills saying you need to change this & that, i dont have much of running as can understand that the vehicle is driven quite less.
Could you please suggest me what are the things i need to get done at the time of service that is really required so that i could get rid of these unnecessary fat bills.Pls note that mine is a petrol car.

With that low of mileage, it shouldn't need much. What are they selling you?

Everything you listed was general maintenance or labor to check / inspect. Are you in the USA? Is the price you listed US dollars?

I still feel the service cost is too much for a vehicle which has a very less usage. Would like to hear from you if i need to continue with the same at the time of service or anychanges required?

Can you tell me what that would equal in USD? Also, do you have other locations to chose from for service?

I would pick one that you can trust and have them provide a second opinion before allowing the dealer to do work.

Took the car to the same dealer who has another workshop which has opened some time back, to my luck the have solved my problem:

They removed the dashboard and refixed it now the sound has gone, some bolts were not tightened is what they said why the dasboard was rattling.
About the noise coming from the rear they said it is common in all cars even they said that it comes when you apply brakes when on slope .
For the rear doors they did the setting once again & now no problem.
Just wanted to say thanx for the help provided by you all. Thanx once again
