Just watched a video on youtube with you guys replacing a condenser on a 2011 mustang. I have a quick and easy question

Where is the location of the expansion valve? I have a compressor, dryer and expansion valve that I bought to replace, and I cannot find that single part.

location would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Its' at the evaporator outlet line. It has to be removed so outlet line can come off. We don't have apic of it's location.

If you haven't already taken it off and drained it then drain it into a measuring cup and put in same amount that has been removed. You have to turn over compressor 6-8 times if you can when you drain it. Otherwise it wil be 3-4oz to add. If the compressor failed then yo have to flush the system form the evaporator inlet to the compressor to get the junk out or the compressor will fail again. Also replace the receiver/drier. Use a/c flushing solvent yn-23 or equivalent. Add oil through low side port then vacuum evacuate at 28" if possible for 15 minutes, do a Freon sweep then evacuate for another 15 minutes. Make sure you adjust clutch to proper air gap.014-.024" also replace orfice for evaporator if you have one.
