engine knock

My engine is making a knocking noise I checked the oil its okay what do you think the problem is?

Hello,

I have seen the camshaft actuators go bad in these engine which causes an engine knocking noise when at idle is that when you hear the noise?

O man you nailed it I had this problem and the garage had to replace the timing chain and actuators cost me $1420... ouch!
