2011 Chevrolet Cobalt Elderly Father Law Put Water Into Engine Oil Resavior

My elderly father in law put water into his engine oil resavior and then reean the car. Not surprisingly, he got a big plume of black smoke, and the engine quit. Tyog tounderstand likely extent of damage and cost to repair.
