Today is a repeat of a problem that occurred on the 24th November 2013 with my Volvo V70 DRIVe
While driving my (electrical) power steering cut out then quite unexpectedly cut back on and this happened all the way home - Power Steering Off then ON - at the same time my brake indicator light was flashing off and on then on the screen messages started to appear reading "Power Steering Service Required" - "DSTC Service Required" - "Engine System Service Urgent"
On the 26th November I booked the car in with a Volvo dealer (Taggarts at Motherwell) for the very same problem and they carried out the following analysis
Carried out Fault Tracing and found many faults in the car - Reset all Parameters and erased Fault Codes - Carried out Road Test and everything OK
If my Wife was driving the car and this happened there is no way she could have turned the steering wheel while the Power Steering was cut off
My warranty expired on the 1st November 2013,
