I know this probably isn't your speciality but last night something happened to my car and I don't know what exactly it is. I woke up this morning to my right side mirror like the image I have attached. Do you have any idea how this maybe happened? Thank you.

It looks like damage to the metal backing of the mirror, can be caused by "overheating" of by some factory-type defect.
