My girlfriend put my car Into park while it was driving and now it shifts gears funny and downshifts funny. I can't turn the car on anymore and when I was driving the rpms were not consist any and the car made a consistent jolting of acceleration

When you try to start it, what happens? Have you checked the shifter linkage to make sure it is working and not out of adjustment? How long was it in park and how fast was she going?

When I start it is completely dead. It was going about 5 mph when it was put into park and I don't know where the shifter linkage is.

At that speed, I wouldn't think too much could have happened, but who knows. Since it does nothing when you turn the key, that leads me to believe the vehicle doesn't think it is in park or neutral. That is most likely the result of the linkage out of adjustment. First, see if the engine will start in any gear and let me know what happens.
