2010 Volkswagen Golf Coil Light Flashed On Engine Lost Power After Switching

the coil light flashed on then engine lost power, after switching off and restarting the light is off but car will only rev to 2300 rpm, the engine is a 1.6tdi any advice would be great. thanks

Have the engine scanned for fault codes & the ABS module.
