I have the vehicle listed above Wagon 2.0T. My water pump just went out. This will be the third time I replaced it in the past three years. The first one lasted about nine months, the next one about the same.

Are these pumps faulty? Or is there possibly something else wrong that's causing the water pumps to fail?

Thanks!

Hello,

What brand pump are they? Cheap replacement parts have about this long of lifespan here would be the pump I recommend. $180.00, compared to the $70.00 to $80.00 for the cheap ones. It also could be the timing belt is installed to tight, does the engine make a whining noise when running at idle?
