Red overheating light came on?

I just bought the vehicle listed above. When I was driving it home, the red overheating light came on. I pulled over and the coolant had leaked out and I had to refill the radiator. I would put more coolant in and then after a couple miles of driving, it would happen again. It is currently parked now. The oil isn't mixed with coolant and there is no white smoke that comes out of the exhaust. Any idea what this would be?

If when you refilled the cooling system if it is not leaking then I would say you have a classic stuck thermostat, here is the location so you can change it out which should fix the problem. Here is a guide to go over as well:
