You just need to plan ahead. This is one of the disadvantages of having this type of vehicle.

MOST "REAL JEEP" TOPS ARE PROVISIONED SO THAT THE TOP CAN BE FOLDED AND STORED OUT OF THE WAY. YET REMAIN "ON BOARD"

WHEN YOU HAVE OWNED NOTHING BUT "CJs" FOR OVER 30 YEARS AS PRIMARY TRANSPORTATION.

THE TOP CAN BE ERECTED FULLY IN AROUND 2 MINUTES ON MY CJ 5. LESS, IF YOUR PASSENGER IS FAMILIAR WITH THE TASK (THIS SAME PASSENGER WOULD ALSO KNOW HOW TO REACT TO THE COMMAND: "LOCK YOURS IN!")

THE TOP ON MY '46 WILLYS.1 MINUTE 15 SECONDS, GIVE OR TAKE

I USUALLY LEAVE THE DOORS AT HOME AND KEEP THE TOP UP. THAT SUN WILL KICK YOUR BUTT, WITH NO TOP. IN A STORM, YOU ONLY GET WET IN A REALLY BLOWING RAIN.I KEEP AN ARMY PONCHO, RAIN JACKET AND A HEAVIER COAT IN ALL OF MY VEHICLES
