2010 Hyundai Elantra Tire spots

Are tire spots a thing of the past if a car has to sit for 3 months? I have heard from some people that tires are made better today and even if a car sits for 3 months (in a garage with no direct sunlight and no temperature extremes) that the tires will not develop tire spots. Is that true?

In my opinion I would say that you can still get them. I would say it just depends on the quality of tire you have and climate.
