I drove my car less than 30miles and overheat and I changed the top gasket, that I bought from honda dealer thermostat and put coolant. It doesnt want to start. Everything is lighting. The mechanic said it might have affected the rings. What might b the problem?

Isn't this vehicle still under warranty? As far as the no start, have you checked for spark and fuel to the engine?
