My daughter was traveling from Ga to NC just 2 days ago. She has a 2010 honda ls and has 6000 miles. The engine just cuts off while she was driving. They would stop. It would start back up again. They towed it to the nearest Honda place that is 2 hs from here.. Trying to figure out what the problem could be? A week ago a lube place did an engine flush and put 60,000 miles on the ticket. He read it wrong. I would like to know if the engine flush could have something to do with this? I know you DO NOT need a flush at 6000 miles. Shes had it almost 6 months now. What should I do?

The flush shouldn't have done anything. Thank god they didn't ask me to have that service done. If the vehicle is starting right back up for her, my guess is either a bad crank sensor or a fuel pressure issue. Please keep in mind, this is a safety issue. I mention that because it is a new car and the dealer has 3 chances to fix it. If the problem still continues, it falls under the lemon law and they owe you a new vehicle (minus mileage on the old car). Back to your original question, the flush shouldn't have hurt anything. Make sure that the dealership manager knows about the problem so it is well documented.
