Where I live the dealer's service doesn't really know what kind of oil does the car needs and they put the same oil of the smaller Mustangs. The computer keeps asking for an oil change though (I assume because the new oil is unsuitable for the car). If I keep getting the car to the dealer's service I'm fearful that they conclude that the computer is wrong and mess up the car.

The car has 540 hp in a 5.4 liter V8 engine.

No, it's asking for an oil change because nobody reset the reminder. It doesn't know what kind of oil you put in.
It requires 5W50 Full synthetic oil and you shouldn't be using regular oil.

Here's how you reset the oil change reminder.

Oil Life

An oil change is required whenever indicated by the message center. USE ONLY RECOMMENDED ENGINE OILS.

To reset the oil monitoring system to 100% after each oil change (approximately 7,500 miles (12,000 km) or six months) perform the following:

1. Press and release the SETUP control to display "OIL LIFE = XXX% HOLD RESET = NEW".
2. Press and hold the RESET control for two seconds and release. Oil life is set to 100% and "OIL LIFE SET TO 100%" is displayed.
3. While "OIL LIFE SET TO 100%" is displayed, if a lower oil life start value is desired, press and release the RESET control to reduce the start value. Each press of the RESET control reduces the value by 10%.

Note: Oil life start value of 100% equals 7,500 miles (12,000 km) or six months. For example, setting oil life start value to 60% sets the oil life start value to 4,500 miles (7,200 km) and 108 days.

Thank you very much for your promptly answers. I'm new to the page and I'm already finding it quite useful. About the exaggeration, this is what the dealer has claimed. All Cobras are also Shelby (as far as I know) and you can indeed google it by searching "Mustang Shelby Cobra 2010 540 hp" and there indeed are some good results.

Those appear to be false claims. The links I gave you list official HP for that car.
