I WAS HOPING FOR THE OTHER!
THIS SOUNDS LIKE MAYBE YOUR MAIN BEARINGS ARE WORN PRETTY BAD, I'M GUESSING IT'S "IN TIME" WITH EACH CRANKSHAFT REVOLUTION
MOST OF THE TIME WHEN I'VE SEEN THIS, THE OIL HAS BEEN REALLY LOW (AT SOME TIME) AND CONTINUED DRIVING IT OR OIL CHANGES WERE NEGLECTED FOR LONG PERIODS AT A TIME
DON'T GET ME WRONG, BEARINGS CAN SPIN, OR THE METAL JUST FAILED FOR SOME REASON
AS IT WARMS UP, THE CRANK "GROWS" A LITTLE FROM HEAT EXPANSION AND MAY SORTA TAKE UP THE SLOP THAT MIGHT BE THERE
WITHOUT "HANDS ON", HECK, IT COULD BE A TORQUE CONVERTER OR SOMETHING ELSE!
OF COURSE, I'M JUST A FELLER YOU DON'T KNOW ON THE INTERNET, I SUGGEST YOU GET A LOCAL SECOND OPINION AT A LOCAL SHOP. THE "LITTLER GUYS" MIGHT WALK OUT AND GIVE YOU PARKING LOT FREE OPINION.
AS FAR AS MAYBE "GETTING BY" FOR A WHILE, SHOULD YOU NOT OPT TO "GO IN" AND REPAIR THE PROBLEMS, PRODUCTS LIKE "HI-TACH" OR "LUCAS OIL STABILIZER" MIGHT QUIET IT UP SOME, THEY ARE THICK LIKE HONEY (LET IT GET WARM IN THE HOUSE BEFORE YOU POUR IT IN) SUBSTITUTE WHICHEVER FOR ONE QUART OF OIL WHEN YOU CHANGE YOUR OIL (DON'T JUST ADD IT AND OVERFILL YOUR ENGINE!)
LET US KNOW HOW THINGS GO
