Check for stones wedged between rotors and backing plate.

I am sorry not to sound stupid but where would that be and it is somthing that will work it self out or cause damange?

They will grind them self down and drop out, they normally do no harm. Brake rotors are the round metal discs behind the wheels and they have metal shields behind them, if in doubt get a mechanic to check for you.
