IS THE COMPRESSOR CONNECTED TO THE THROTTLE?

I JUST HAD MY THROTTLE CLEANED OUT THE OTHER DAY..YESTERDAY WHEN I TURNED THE AIR ON IT JUST BLEW WARM AND THE COMPRESSOR WAS NOT COMING ON..COULD IT BE RELATED TO THE THROTTLE CLEANING?DOES THE COMPRESSOR CONNECT TOTHE THROTTLE?
