When does the AWD kick in?

Vehicle listed above is AWD. When will the AWD kick in? A tech told if the temperature gets below 37 degrees the AWD will be activated, even on dry roads. is this correct?

Hello,

On these AWD vehicles, the all-wheel drive is functional/activated all the time. It is a full-time all-wheel-drive system. It does not 'activate' or 'deactivate'. Regardless of the weather or temperature or terrain.
There is no way to drive on just 2 wheels. Only in all wheel drive 100% of the time.
