On my grandpas 2010 Chevy silverado I was driving it and it locked up on me. I was driving it and I was only going about 5 mph or less and I shifted it up reverse and everything locked up it stopped. I tried reversing and it would not move. The brake pedal locked up tight like a brick. It didn't matter what gear it was it would not move. I shifted it up to park and shut it off. I turned it back on it it went back to normal. Could this maybe be the brake booster. Thanks.

Does not sound like it. Did it try to move forward or reverse?

Nope wouldnt move at all in reverse or any other drive. It was rolling forward because the street is uneven.

You need a shop, not necessarily a dealer, to pull the codes. Code readers will not see the trans side of the pcm
