exhaust leak?

When we start our car it sounds like it has an exhaust leak. But after it gets on the road and warms up..it quiets itself. Has an exhaust type smell. The cars runs smoothly though. What do you think it is and do you think it is still under the power train warrantee

Hello,

It sounds like you have a flange gasket that is bad which is located at the rear of the exhaust manifolds. This video show the head pipe being replaced which includes the gaskets.
