2010 Cadillac Srx Shut Off After Driving Fan Kicks On Stays About Minute Half

When I shut my SRX off after driving it, the fan kicks on and stays on for about a minute and a half. The weather is not warm, in the low 50's. Temp in car seems fine while driving it. Also, a few times I have left it running for 3 or 4 minutes to dry it off after going through a car wash, and when I got back in, there was a warning saying that temp. was too high, and it was shutting off the AC. Weather was a little warmer when that happened, probably in the 70's. Any ideas?

check coolant level, thermostat, and radiator may be clogged.
