Did battery load test 2 weeks ago at an independent shop. Battery voltage 12.4 V good, alternator 14.02 V under load normal, AC ripple 110 mV AC so NO excess AC ripple threshold 500 mV so it's under.
One week ago factory radio 6 disc CD MP3 working fine. Now, out of the blue turn power on. It beeps and gives message cdc hardware error. Radio and CD player don't work. But you can listen to music by plugging in an iPhone into AUX IN port in center dash. Weird. Suggestions?

If there is a jammed CD in it, that can cause the issue. However, if there is no chance of this, chances are the radio itself is going bad. The radio itself will store fault codes. If there is a dealer near you, they could actually check it to see what faults are stored. I have to be honest, I have seen this happen and the radio, after a few days, start working again. However, shortly thereafter, they go bad again.
