I just had my 2009 Jetta TDI serviced (80K miles) at my VW dealer. The following day, the engine malfunction light came on. They tested it and said that my intake manifold runner assembly needs to be replaced to the cost of $1300. My questions are: is there anything that they could have done in the servicing to cause that to happen? Is $1300 to replace essentially a sensor?
