is ther a way 2 disconnect the running lights & still keep the blinkers?

09 Toyota Tacoma, day time driving lights get so hot it melts the lens cover, day time lights are also the blinkers, is ther a way 2 not hav the running lights come on & still hav blinkers

probably has the wrong bulbs in them. the candlepower is too high and generating too much heat. replace them with the standard bulbs
