I had a wheel alignment done in October 2012, which was about 4,600 miles ago. Now I need a set of new tires, and the dealer is suggesting that I should get an alignment done at the same time. Given that I had an alignment done recently, is it necessary to do it again?

it has been winter time and pot holes knock out alignments. it is cheap insurance to get maximum mileage out of your new tires
