Hello,

Here is a guide to help walk you through the steps for changing the coolant sensor.

With the 2.4L engine, the coolant temp sensor is located right rear of engine.

With the 3.5L engine, the coolant temp sensor is located, rear cylinder head, below coolant reservoir.

Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

USER NOTES: I found on front head driver side on 2009 Pontiac g6 v6 3.5

My fan runs constantly and my temp gauge quit working. We changed the coolant temp sensor and didn't think that worked until I drove it to and from work and all seemed fixed. Then both quit working again. Then they worked and now they don't. I'm thinking there's a loose wire or bad connection??????
