2009 Nissan Altima Trunk Opened Button Inside Now Won T Latch You Press Remote

trunk was opened with button inside and now the trunk won't latch. if you press the remote key trunk button, nothing happens but if you hold the trunk button on remote, the latch opens and closes. help!!!

Check the button in vehicle for sticking.
