How do I fix an intermittent tail light fault on my mercedes benz C300?

If I push in on the tail light harness connector at the tail light unit, the problem goes away. How do I permenantly fix this? Is there a conductive grease available?

It sounds like a splice has come loose. Unwrap the splice and either solder it, or apply some sort of solderless/crimp type joint.
