We have a 2009 Mazda RX-8. It is having a problem with what seems like vapor lock here in Colorado on the mountain passes. the car just looses power and you have to get it off the road and wait it out for about 20 min. It does not register as hot on the warning lights. The engine was replaced 3 months ago till that time this had never happened. Is it vapor lock and what can we do?

I doubt it is a vapor lock problem, i would be suspecting an overheated sensor that is cutting out and working as it cools down, i would run a scan looking for any sensor codes, start here.
