Fuel filter is intank with fuel pump.

REMOVAL (INCLUDING FUEL FILTER AND FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR)

1. Remove the rear seat cushion.

2. Open the service cover (A) under the rear seat cushion.

3. Release the internal pressure of the fuel lines and hoses as following:

a) Disconnect the fuel pump assembly harness connector (A).

B) Start the engine and wait until fuel in fuel line is exhausted. After the engine stalls, turn the ignition switch to OFF position.

C) Disconnect the negative (-) terminal from the battery.

4. Disconnect the fuel feed line (B) and the Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor (FTPS) connector (C).

CAUTION:Cover the hose connection with a shop towel to prevent splashing of fuel caused by residual pressure in the fuel line

5. Unfasten the fuel pump (A) from the fuel tank.

6. Remove the fuel pump assembly.

Relieve the fuel system pressure.
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Disconnect the fuel lines from both ends of the fuel filter. Plug the lines to prevent leakage.
Remove the bracket retaining nuts and bolts, as necessary.
Remove the filter and the mounting bracket.

To install:

Install the filter in the mounting bracket.
Connect the fuel lines to the filter.
Install the bracket nuts and tighten to 9.5 ft. Lbs. (13 Nm) for 1.5L, 1.6L, 1.8L and 2.0L engines. For 2.4L engines, torque the nuts to 18-25 ft. Lbs. (25-35 Nm).
Connect the negative battery cable.
Run the engine and check for any fuel leaks.
