Just bought a kia rio chill and the accelerator keeps sticking when I come to first set off on a journey? Also first to second gear seems notchy, is this a common problem?

I get in car after been left for couple hours and accelerator wont press, literally have to kick it down and then ok till next journey

Check the throttle cable and throttle plate. Try cleaning the throttle bore. Check if the stopper for the throttle plate had been tampered with.
