skid light

I have a 2009 jeep patriot skid light keeps coming on. Then it goes all for a while, then it comes back on. When the light the light comes on the car feels like it's going to stop. Thank you for your help

have the system checked for codes to find the area of failure. may be a wheel speed sensor.
