2009 Hyundai Accent transmission

i need to replace the thrust and cup bearing in between the third and fourth gear in the transmission but do not want to remove engine from car, how can i take the cover off without doing this?

To access the internals of the transmission, you have to remove the trans or engine to take it apart.

I would really prefer not to pull the eng. and trans., could I instead just unbolt the last 2 motor mounts to slide the engine over to the passenger side to get enough room for the cover to come off?

It may work, but I question it. Measure things to see if there is enough room.
