I was told my left control arm bushing is leaking oil , Oil in a control arm bushing is really true ?

no, no oil in the bushing.

oil may have leaked on it and destroyed it

these control arm bushings are called compliance bushings they are in fact oil filled and leak and tear. Honda issued a warranty extension on these but that ran out a few years ago.
