2009 Honda civic coupe- High pitched noise and whining sound when car is running, gets louder as you rev engine or start driving?

check belts to make sure they are tight and in good condition. If they are, with the engine off, remove the belt and start the car to see if the noise is gone. NOTE: Only run the engine a few seconds to see if the noise is gone. It will overheat and cause other damage if you run it long. If the noise is gone, check all belt driven accessories for the noise.
