Hi,

I have Honda Civic FD 2009 and I used more than 6 years with 165KM mileage.
During summer season here in UAE I experienced bad performance of my AC system.
1st, its take time to blow cold air.
2nd, AC is on during driving and work fine but I parked my car for 45 minutes more, then re-start the engine and turn on the AC, AC blow hot air.
3rd, if I parked my car direct under the sun, start the engine and turn on the AC but AC blow hot air instead of cold air.

Some friends told me to send my car direct to Honda Service Center and do the AC System cleaning.

I appreciate your advise before to send my car in Honda Service Center.

When it is first turned on, it is normal for it to blow warm air until the unit has a chance to cool down. Does it cool down eventually?

Yes, it cool down eventually.
The other scenario that I experienced during summer season only. When I continues driving with ac is on and good condition but after 45 mins driving the ac starting blowing hot air and then I decided to turn it off for 20 to 30 minutes and turn it on again and ac comes back to normal.

What you need to do is have the pressures checked in the system. There could be an issue with low pressure or if it is hot enough there and you have it on high, I've seen them freez-up and not work. What to do, the next time it stops working, see if the compressor is still operating.
