2009 Gmc Sierra 5 3 Flex Fuel Truck Check Engine Light Code Camshaft Position

Have a 5.3 flex fuel truck, check engine light code says camshaft position sensor. Planning on replacing it, my question is would the sensor cause a slight chirping or clicking sound? It has just started the last day or two.

It shouldn't cause a noise.

By the way, see if you can get the sensor replaced under the emissions warranty. It may end at 50K, but it is worth a try.
