what might be the problem?

This question is about my car a/c. When I turn my max a/c on it blows cold air, but when I turn regular a/c on it's blows hot air. I checked the freon and it has enough. What might be the problem?

Check the blend door operation, on the max A/C setting it goes into recirc.mode which reroutes the air inside the HVAC box- the blend door motor has likely stuck and is delivering air via the heater core.
