2009 Dodge Avenger Front end noise

I have a noise coming from the right front end. It sounds like a strut or something rumbling around. I sometimes clunk when I hit the brake. I took it into the shop they cannot find anything wrong other then there's probably a rock somewhere. There was nothing loose or worn. It's only getting worse

Were all bushings checked including the control arm bushings? Were the strut mounts checked?

Yea they spent two hours looking the whole car over and they cannot find it. It sounds horrible though. They told me not to worry about it that it's safe and the wheels are not going to fall off or anything

Not saying it is safe or not, but if there is a noise, something is wrong. My guess is strut plates. They are a common issue.
