I have a 2009 PT Cruiser Touring, no turbo, the radiator fan went out last year and I had it replaced in August. The fan was new but I purchased it wholesale so there is no warranty. The fan has gone out again. Do you know of any electrical problems with this car that might cause the fan to continue to go out? And are the fans sold at places like Advanced Auto actually OEM? The one I bought wholesale had to be modified to fit the screw holes.

you mostly don't know where oem parts are manufactured. a lot of the parts that are sold are mthe people that manufacture for oem parts and are the same quality. If it didn't fit correctly it may have not been the one for it.was it made in China? alot of times they shortcut things. You could have another problem causing the fan to go out, like poor connections that heat up and cause a failure. it should be at least looked at by a pro.
