The cd player in my vehicle stopped working the other day. I was playing the cd and it quit playing, and an error code was displayed stating check cd. Now I am unable to even eject the cd. Is there anything I can try before I have to take it to the dealer and let them tear apart my dash?

Thanks,
Jon Coppernoll

The radios come out pretty easily on most models, but be prepared for a huge repair bill. GM stopped allowing us to buy radio service manuals after the '94 model year because they wanted to lock up all the repair business for their two grossly over-priced repair centers. A $400.00 repair bill for a simple cassette radio is common. Now they're building the Body Computers into them to prevent people from buying high-quality aftermarket replacement radios.
