2009 Audi A4 cat question

Just had my pistons redone because they were allowing oil into the combustion chamber. Obviously this means my car was burning a lot of oil which was going through the cat. Should I look into replacing the cat since its probably oil covered? Would that decrease performance?

No not at this stage, if you have no cat codes set don't worry, if you get a code for cat low efficiency you may need to do it then.
