I have a 2008 volkswagen beetle and I am experiencing issues with unlocking my steering wheel. For some reason, I am experiencing extreme difficulty unlocking it. I am used to unlocking my steering wheel because I have had the car for 4 years. However, I am beginning to think maybe its my key or my ignition switch. What do you think the issue is?

It is most likely the safety interlock pin that gets set by the ignition switch being in the, "OFF" position. See if giggling the steering wheel while trying to turn the key helps. The ignition switch will porbably need to be taken out and replaced and/orthe pin or spring that retains it in the "ON" positions.
