speedometer not being accurate

Hi i have vauxhall corsa 2008 and the speedometer has just started playing up its says its doin different speeds and your not even moving i had diagnostic check and nothing shows up but when the battery is disconnected and connected agen it goes bk to 0mp

have your speed sensor checked. this is really a guess as we have no inof on these cars.
