Have you had the transfer dismantled?do you have a problem as there is no timing involved.

oh yes there is timing involved for the stupid little slave divice that changes your transfer case from 2 to 4 wheel drive !!! unlike a lot of american autos this one has to be put back together and in time according to the dealer !!!!

OK, i did look at the transfer on Mitchel 1 and did not see anything, that is why i suggested that there was no timing, i will go back and re read a bit more carefully and see what i can find,

One thing, Mitchell 1 has Tacoma, prerunner and x runner, not sure if there is a difference can you advise which model, i will look at all three as well.

In Mitchel 1 for that year it only shows constant 4X4, not sure what is going on.

I am assuming that the actuator on the transfer case has been taken apart..do you mind asking why was it taken apart..improper operation?? leak?? or something else. As far as I know, there is not a procedure for timing the gear to the shaft....it only a matter of trial and error...and mostly error
