2008 Toyota Other Fuel pump

I changed the intank fuel filter and now the car cannot start.
It worked fine before I changed it. What could be the problem?

Why did you even change it? They put them in the tank for a reason. They are non-maintenance items.
Obviously something was done wrong in the process and it will likely have to come apart again for inspection.

Because it needed changing. The car would shut off while driving along and the engine check light comes on. It's not the fist time it was changed but second time.

I think it may be the pump because it would lose power after driving for awhile.

It may be a pump issue but it wasn't the filter doing that.

You need to diagnose these things properly before you start throwing parts at the problem. Have the codes read to find out why the check engine light came on.

It finally started. I hope it will continue to work. We haven't driven it out yet so tomorrow we'll know the true condition
