2008 Toyota Camry Gear Issues

The gear does not change from one gear to the other especially gear one to two.At times. Wehn driving it does not change at all. It remains on gear one for a long time even when I try accelerating.It started since after I changed my shaft.

Check the transmission fluid first.

Which shaft did you change?

Sounds like the shaft [if it's and axle shaft] is not all the way into the transmission splines. Check to see if that axle seems to stick put further than the other one [check at the point where the axle goes into the transmission - under the vehicle].
