Local shop has suggested modifying strut tower
to allow a more finite alignment thus preventing
exsessive tire wear. They claim it is acommon
on Toyota & Honda.
Is this a good idea? your imput is appreciated.
Thankyou

Never heard of this, check with Toyota about any TSB's on this problem.

My opinion is that they are trying to get a few extra bucks out of you and VOID the Toyota warranty.

I'm not familiar with "modifying" the strut tower. What do they plan to gain from doing this? The alignment isn't done at the strut tower.
