when the clutch is depress a squeek is heard and i was wandering if the master cylinder rubbers need changing

Not a rubber problem. Noise is emitted by an axis/pivotal point and it can be from the pedal, master cylinder push rod, slave cylinder-to-clutch fork contact or the clutch fork . If it is external, lubricating the area would be easy but if it is within the bell housing, that would be rather difficult to get at.
